The development of the multi-room temperature control program was a school project designed to help with management of indoor climates using central HVAC systems. Spanning three key phases, this project began with the design of a system capable of independently regulating temperatures across various rooms. Utilizing smart algorithms coupled with real-time sensor data, the program aimed to enhance comfort levels while optimizing energy consumption. This system's unique proposition was its proactive stance in environmental adjustment, ensuring a consistently comfortable atmosphere.

A significant aspect of this project involved simulating thermal losses to evaluate the program's adaptability to changing environmental conditions. By incorporating the effects such as insulation efficiency, external temperature, and the thermal characteristics of varying building materials, the simulation provided a dynamic testing ground. This critical analysis and subsequent refinements to the control algorithms refined the system's abilities to intelligently navigate and adjust to a spectrum of temperature variances. This capacity for dynamic adaptation not only demonstrated the software's technical sophistication but also its practical applicability in real-world settings, ensuring tailored climate control across diverse spaces.

My proficiency with LABView has been useful during my internship at TVA, where I was tasked with porting an exsisting LABView program over to C#. The process of translating the functionalities and logic from LABView, a platform known for its graphical programming approach and prowess in data acquisition and control tasks, to C#, known for its object-oriented architecture and extensive framework support, was both challenging and enlightening. This project has taught me the critical skills of adaptability and problem-solving in software development, providing a solid foundation in multiple programming approaches. Through these projects, I have not only broadened my technical skill set but also honed my ability to apply these competencies in real working conditions.
